PETROCHINA (00857.HK) announced that its controlling shareholder, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), plans to transfer more than 541 million of its PETROCHINA A-shares (0.3% of PETROCHINA's total share capital) to China Mobile Communications Group through a state-owned share transfer.

This change in shareholder equity is from the transfer of state-owned shares and doesn't involve a tender offer, nor will it result in a change in the controlling shareholder or actual controller of the company.
